Off-Route

“Off-Route” is an artistic residency organized by Cultterra in Elefsina (Greece). The project combines oral history, training and performance to create a multilingual audio-guide and a collective final performance.

Through collaboration with groups of older adults from the KAPI of Elefsina, local stories and personal memories will be collected, while young artists will participate in a workshop focused on physical theatre and collaborative creation. This activity is free of charge for the participants.

Participants will explore myths and classical heroes as a bridge between past and present, learning how to use space, sound, light, and dramaturgy within an imaginative creative process. The collected stories will form the narrative for the audio guide and the site-specific, performative walking experience, which will be presented in central locations across the city.
