Filio Dimou, 25 years old, is a beneficiary of the Day Care Centre for People with Mental Retardation "Oloi Emes" in Elefsina. She constantly expresses her interest in all forms of art—particularly in painting.

In many of her works, she conveys the rapid emotional changes that everyone experiences—especially herself—which is why her art serves as a means of communication for her.

Notes

Filio's experience during her exhibition at the Elefsina railway station, in collaboration with the Cultterra group, was special and unique—both for our institution and for herself.

Beyond her enthusiasm for exhibiting her artwork, she expressed an unexpected sense of familiarity with the space and the visitors. This allowed her social skills to blossom, as she warmly welcomed viewers and engaged in conversations with them.

Following this experience, she showed a strong desire to participate again and demonstrated clear progress in her socialization and communication with others. She is hopeful for another future exhibition!
