EPHRAIMIA PARIANOU
Untitled – Digital Art Installation

Ephraimia Parianou, 21 years old, grew up on the island of Samos and moved to Elefsina about eight years ago. She has been passionate about painting since a young age, is self-taught, and creates mainly digital but also traditional artworks. Her inspiration often comes from media such as movies, series, and music, as well as from other artists—with a particular love for the horror genre. There was a break in her creative journey for a few years, but she restarted around 2018, motivated by her desire to draw the famous group BTS. For digital work, she uses a laptop, a screen tablet, and programs like Medibang and Clip Studio Paint. For simpler sketches, she prefers a regular pencil, eraser, and any kind of paper.

Artist’s Note:
My name is Ephraimia Parianou, and in March 2023, the youth team Cultterra—of which I had just become a member—gave me the opportunity to have my very first exhibition! It was also the first exhibition of the “Days of Thirst” project, which we had been so eagerly and passionately trying to launch. That exhibition week was an emotional experience for me because, for the first time, I had my own work displayed in a space—something I never imagined I would do. Even more special was having all the people I love and who love me there to support me. I felt incredibly lucky. It was a week that, as soon as it ended, I already missed, leaving me with a bittersweet feeling. I am and will always be deeply grateful to the team members who helped and supported me and gave me the honor of initiating part of this project. I’m also thankful to everyone who visited and took the time to view my work, as painting is one of my greatest loves. Thank you so much!
