Fragments music composition - sound installation

Angelos Christakis was born in 2000 in Elefsina, where he also grew up. From a young age, he was involved in painting and music, specifically composition and classical percussion. He was also a member of the ERT youth symphony orchestra, but over time he has participated in more musical productions. His compositions have been awarded in 2019 at a national composition competition, and also internationally in 2022. In 2022 he obtained a diploma in classical percussion from the Kodály Conservatory, and in 2023 he graduated from the Department of Food Science and Technology at PATh. Finally, he uses his works to create atmospheres and stimulate emotions that are difficult to describe with words.

Artist’s note:
"Fragments" was a very important experience for me, from the conception of the idea to its realization. It was moving when many people who entered the exhibition shared with me personal stories they had lived in such "Rooms", while their own interpretation of the installation was equally important to me. I was especially delighted by the people who managed to follow the installation at its different stages. Unfortunately, the last of these "burned" - both metaphorically and literally - as the high temperatures persisted even at night, resulting in many people not being able to attend. Finally, I warmly thank my good friend Effi Mastropanagiotopoulou for the great help she offered me during the setup of the installation, as well as for her support, as she was by my side throughout the event. Then, I thank my partner Nikos Pantelias for his support throughout the exhibition, and I also want to thank the Cultterra team for giving me this opportunity to present my work.
